Remove Picture Background using PowerPoint In 15 seconds or more
Hey Heroes!
Let’s say that you receive an image or you took a photo that you need to use as art for some other document, or superimpose it over other images for a social media post. However, you need to outline only a certain object and need the rest of the background to be transparent.
You could use Photoshop, Paint… but I can show you how to do it with MS Powerpoint in 15 seconds or more.
So how do you do it?
Open Microsoft PowerPoint and insert the image you want to remove the background to. Select the image and you will get the “Picture Format” Menu. Inside you will find the “Remove Background” button. Click it and it will become a “Background Removal” space, where you can mark areas to keep and mark areas to remove.
Depending on how clear are the lines between the object and the background or how complex the background is, it can take you as little as 15 seconds to remove the background from an image. Keep marking areas to remove or areas to keep as necessary, and if you marked something wrong, remember you can always undo (ctrl+z).
Once you are satisfied with the result, you can click Keep Changes and done! To be able to use your new background-less image in other software, make sure to save it as png (png is better than jpg when you don’t want to lose quality and to handle detailed, high-contrast images). To do this, right click on the image, click “save as Picture” and select png as the file type. Click OK. And that’s it.
