Translate documents online 100% Free AND keep the ORIGINAL layout!

Upload. Select output language. Translate. Download.

Has it happened to you that you receive a document in a different language that you can read, but you need to share it with other teammates? or you need to copy and paste pieces of that document and translate them so that you can later reuse them in either an email or a social media post or any other type of sharing?

Oftentimes getting this information and translating it manually can take time - especially if it's a document that has a certain layout and you need to translate the whole document while preserving the same layout before sharing it.

Today I will present to you a tool that will make this 1000 times easier and will take barely any time:

I personally use this web page very often, whenever I receive a document that I need to translate to a different language while maintaining the same layout. Using this tool allows you to upload the whole original document, select the output language (it automatically detects what the original language is but you can change it if it didn’t get it right), and it translates it and offers you a download of the final output.

This tool is powered by Google Translate and uses OCR (character recognition software) to read the letters. Although it's not 100% accurate I would say that it's at least 80 to 90% accurate.

Tips and tricks when using this tool:

1.       Make sure that the document that you're uploading doesn't have any kind of sensitive information protected by confidentiality clauses – at the end you are uploading the info into a server that you don't have any control over.

2.       If you need to make changes or edit the document afterwards, consider uploading a version that is NOT a PDF (unless you have a PDF editing tool available) (This site also allow for transforming PDF into other formats)

3.       If the original document has special fonts, the output document will usually have similar fonts but most of the time they will use standard fonts. Make sure that you recognize the original font of the document so you can download it and reapply it as necessary on the output document.

4.       Because the translation is not 100% accurate you will need to edit and review the translated document to make sure that the translation is as accurate as possible. Again make sure that you upload a document that's not a PDF to make it easier to edit it afterwards.

5.       Scans, pictures, and handwritten documents will not be translated.
