Quickly Copy + Paste several items with Windows Clipboard

Hello Heroes,

Let’s say that you need to copy multiple items and have them available at anytime. Let’s say that we need to copy several things from one particular software or from different Softwares into a destination, or that you have a big list of items that are not next to each other so you have to constantly shift from one program window to another when doing your copy pasting.

So normally what you would do is that you would copy, then go to the destination and then paste using control + C and control + V. In the scenario above, where you have to do this for several items, this is extremely time consuming. Here is the secret: Windows allows us to copy multiple items first and then paste all of those items that we copied using the windows clipboard.

To Activate the windows clipboard you have 2 options:

1.       Use the windows key(WIN) + V instead of Control + V. This will open up the clipboard screen and you will see the “turn on” option to enable the clipboard.

2.       Go to settings, clipboard and then “enable clipboard history”.

From this point onward, everything that you copy will be kept Into the clipboard. With the clipboard enabled, you can copy multiple items in different softwares first, using Control + C each time, and then open the clipboard with WIN + V to paste in your destination.

If there is an item that you want to keep, you can pin it. Inside the clipboard, click on the three dots and pin the element. That way it will be available even after you’ve cleared all the elements in the clipboard.

Remember to periodically clear all the elements in the clipboard, preferably after each session, so you don’t keep it polluted and it’s easier to find what you are looking for.

PRO Tip: If you Enable “sync across devices”, you will have access to copy and paste from any devise where your Microsoft account is logged in, as it will save the elements on the cloud and make them available for your pasting in any destination.
